I’m told by Anita (the lady who runs the galleries at KU) that the show was a success because there were barely any cookies left over. I’ve gotten a lot of good feedback and even booked a few commissions out of the deal, so I’m calling this show a win, unlike my Royals.

…getting ready for my art show that opens tomorrow at the William J. Reals Gallery of Art at the KU Medical School. I don’t really feel like I’m ready for this, since I’m not big into “showing” my work. Thankfully, I’ve had a little help getting ready at home:

Reception is tomorrow afternoon from 2:30-3:15pm in the East gallery of the Med School. The work will be on display till May 25th.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to do a logo so I was pretty excited about the adunleash.com job. “Unleash” is not the easiest word in the English language to visually represent, but I think I pulled it off. The customer was happy and that’s all that matters:

As most of you that read this blog know, I have a gallery show opening next month at the KU School of Medicine. Needless to say I’m starting to stress-out a little, because I’m no-where close to being ready for it. It will be a mixture of paintings and digital illustrations. Here’s a sneak peak of one of the pieces I’m working on that may end up in the show:
My sister-in-law is a Tebow-Stalker (…okay, okay, maybe I am too) and she wanted me to draw Timothy “topless”. Amee you have issues!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I’m enjoying hanging out with my family and still coming down off that “adrenaline-rush” of a game between KU and MU! Great comeback!
Hopefully the rebuilding “process” that the Royals have been going through will lead to some adrenaline-rush games for KC in late September/October.
For about the last 6-7 years the KC Royals have been telling fans that the rebuilding and drafting of players is all a part of “the process”. They’ve been saying “the process” so much that Lee West and the guys at i70baseball thought it needed it’s own logo. Check out the article here:

It’s February 11. There’s no NFL football on this weekend. It’s colder than Hoth outside right now. Summer seems a million miles away. Finally all that time I waste every day reading about baseball and the Royals paid off! (Not really…I didn’t get paid for this. My blog did see a major spike in internet traffic for 2 days though! It’s a start I guess…) Hopefully Craig and the bloggers at nbcsports.com will want to use some of my stuff again in the future.

fyi BSOHL stands for “Best Shape of His Life”. Something I am not right now. This blog was BSOHL for at least a couple of days though! 
This crazy Kansas weather has me wondering if we are even going to have a “winter” this year? I’m worried that we are going to get through February and then get hammered with cold and snow in March. Just about the time for baseball season to start. Speaking of baseball I came across this drawing as I was doing some file-house-keeping today.
