Had to dig this outta the archives in honor of Broncos vs Chiefs week.

Had to dig deep in the Tyree Studio archives to find this one.

Thought it was appropriate for Chiefs vs. Broncos tomorrow. Most years being married to the rival team’s fan is not a big deal (either one or both teams stink)…this year it’s been a little more entertaining.

Go Broncos!

2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 3 years to get that many views.

Working hard…

Busy week for me.

I will start my new job with the Hutchinson Credit Union next week, but in the mean-time I have 3 acrylic painting commissions, a caricature Christmas card, a custom website, and another logo to work on (I think that’s it?)!  Wow!  Gonna be hitting the Quick Trip caffeine hard this week.

I can not even begin to thank all those in my life that have supported, prayed for me, listened to me whine, helped me with job leads, resumes, free lunches, etc during these last 9-10 months of job-uncertainty and unemployment.  My family and I love and appreciate all of you.  It’s been a rough year in a lot of ways, but awesome to see how God has provided for us as well.

God Bless,

jt

Shocker progress

Almost done!  Just need to touch up some spots and seal it!

I really appreciate the Cheatum family for letting me hang out in their garage for 2 weeks!  This was so much fun, I’d love to try it again.  Jayhawk or Wildcat fans (even Texas fans) give me a call!

on to the pics…

Is it basketball season yet?

We are in mid/late October already, wow!  There is a bite to the morning air, the leaves are changing colors and the days are getting shorter.  Winter, the holidays and college basketball season are just around the corner.  In the spirit of college hoops I’ve hit the floor this week, literally, to paint the Wu Shock logo for probably one of the biggest Shocker hoops fans in the state of Kansas.  We have a 9′ x 9′ space cleared out on his garage floor for Wu.  The concrete is doing a number on my knees and neck but it’s well worth it.  I have never worked on a concrete canvas before, but it is going on nicely and I am excited to complete this project (hopefully this week).  If the Shox make the tournament this year I am charging my client extra ;)

Here are some progress pics so far…

Happy Anniversary

Can’t believe it’s been 6 years already!  I love you more today than I did in 2006 babe!

Still “my favorite”
